Trust Fall I was flying among the stars The wind was cold And those stars were bright I let myself fall And then I was standing on a diving board The darkness around me I couldn’t tell if there was water But I held my breath And jumped right in Falling like slow motion I hit air My wings were left in the sky Panicking I kicked out Landing on my feet Instead of my head Scraping my knees I thought I was diving into water Figured wrong Once my heart settled And my eyes dried I walked around the empty bowl Found that I was wrong There was water here Not much A puddle, clear and crystal I stared into it My reflection stared back I sat by the circle of crystal I guess I have only one option Wait for the rain -Eleanor Hastings
