close your eyes and sleep
sleep lightly children
or you'll wake the dead
your slumbering noises to loud for their fragile ears
your twists and turns in sleep vibrating through the ground
Moving inside their bones, breaching in the earth
pound your feet against the floor
scream the silence out
but nothing good will come of this
as the dead begin to walk again
once you've awoken the spirits in the deep.
